Neurological

Regain confidence in your communication

Have you, or someone close to you, experienced a stroke or head injury? Or perhaps received a diagnosis of Parkinson’s disease, dementia, or another neurological condition? You may be noticing changes in communication, or wondering how things might change in the future.

Speech and language therapy offers practical, personalised strategies and advice to support you to communicate more effectively and feel more confident in everyday life. Whether your goal is returning to work or education, reconnecting with hobbies, or simply feeling more at ease in conversations, therapy is shaped around what matters most to you.

We understand that changes in communication can feel frustrating, isolating, or uncertain—but you don’t have to navigate this alone.

How we can help

  • Assessment and diagnosis of communication difficulties

  • Individualised therapy for speech, language and voice

  • Support following stroke, brain injury and neurological conditions

  • Strategies to improve everyday communication, confidence and participation

  • Advice and support for family members and carers

We work with adults at all stages of recovery, and welcome both self-referrals and referrals from professionals.

What to expect

We’ll work together to identify meaningful, achievable goals and create a plan that fits your needs and priorities.

Your first appointment is a relaxed, in-depth session where we take time to understand you—your experiences, your concerns, and what you’d like to achieve. We’ll also carry out structured assessments to guide the next steps.

Follow-up sessions focus on building skills and strategies that support your communication in real-life situations. Therapy is collaborative, practical and tailored to your pace—there’s no pressure, and we’ll adapt as we go.

Appointments are flexible and can be arranged to suit you—whether as a one-off, or on a regular basis such as weekly or monthly. While I’ll offer professional guidance on what may be most helpful, you remain in control of the pace and frequency of therapy.

Initial appointments last up to 90 minutes, with follow-up sessions of up to one hour.

Where sessions take place

Sessions are offered in your own home or community setting, creating a comfortable and familiar environment for therapy. Online appointments may also be available where appropriate.
