  • We are based in Salisbury, Wiltshire and the surrounding area. We have a clinic in central Salisbury but can also travel to clients’ homes (which may incur an extra charge depending on mileage). We can also see clients online.

  • Our most common presentations are:

Aphasia - a language disorder which may make it more difficult to talk, write‍ or ‍understand spoken and written information (reading).

Dyspraxia - a motor speech disorder that refers to a difficulty in forming the speech sounds needed for clear speech. This can include planning, sequencing and coordinating movements. It may impact on parts of speech such as oral movements, fluency, or inconsistencies with producing longer words with several syllables.

Dysarthria - affects intelligibility or clarity of speech. It may cause speech to be completely unintelligible or can be more subtle such as mildly slurred speech sounds, reduced volume, or changes to usual pitch or intonation patterns.

Cognitive Communication Disorder - caused by problems in thinking skills such as attention, memory, planning, and understanding. It can affect how a person follows conversations, finds words, organises their thoughts, or understands information or social situations.

Communication Partner Training and Advice - often the people who communicate with the affected person need support and training to establish positive communications with their friend or family member.
